McLeod Bulldogs and Offgrid Bulldogs have joined forces as NZ RARE BULLDOGS, we combine our passion, bloodlines, and all our bulldog goodness.
Chala and Chanelle work closely together to share the significant responsibility of breeding and raising healthy, well-structured Bulldogs. With a shared passion for excellence, they are dedicated to guiding you every step of the way on your journey to welcoming your beautiful Bulldog into your whānau.
Most of your day-to-day communication will be with Chanelle—she’s your go-to for regular pupdates! From adorable photos and videos to updates on your puppy’s daily adventures, Chanelle loves keeping you involved and connected throughout those precious first eight weeks.
Chala handles the administrative side of things and is your point of contact for any paperwork, contracts, or general information about the website or paperwork process. If you need support or have questions along the way, she’s always happy to help.
Offgrid Bulldogs
CHALA CHASE
Our humble beginnings trace back to 2015 in Australia, when we welcomed our very first bulldog, Coco—a beautiful chocolate tri girl who, although never bred, sparked our deep love for the breed. Not long after, we began a small, purpose-driven breeding programme and were blessed with our first litter: two stunning blue tri bulldogs.
One of the foundational sires in our early journey was Loyd, a top-quality stud we proudly imported from the United States. Many of our first litters were sired by Loyd, and we are fortunate to carry some of the original coloured pedigree bloodlines, including renowned names like Shrinkabulls, Blackgold, Westcoasts, Fulbren, and more.
In time, we felt the call to return home to Aotearoa, bringing six of our beloved bulldogs with us. We’ve since continued our small breeding programme on our family whenua in beautiful Northland, where we now live a simple, off-grid lifestyle surrounded by our tamariki and our dogs.
Breeding remains a true passion for us. We take pride in raising happy, healthy bulldogs and love nothing more than seeing the joy our puppies bring to their forever whānau.
